I am new to the cue building world. in my many searches i have seen blanks built by John Davis. Does anyone know if he still makes blanks and if so how to contact him. Thanks

last time I spoke with him his prices started at $350 if your new to q building you need to start on cheaper blanks and sneaky petes. He was very nice over the phone and answered anything I asked.

John could give you a perfect blank and you could ruin it in seconds if you don't know what you are doing, and thats alot of money to turn into firewood

thats a great point, what you could do is buy one or 2 from Davis and hold on to them-believe me they aint gonna get any cheaper, they are like gold. And use them as your confidence comes up. and if it dosent work out you will make $$$ when you sell them, and letting them sit and get old only helps as old wood in cues awalys plays better than new wood.

i agree.

hightower has cheap ones advertised on his site and prather has cheaper ones as well.

of course you could practice on a house cue as well.
