Keith Rudman said:I think it will get better, have you not gone to the new BCA website www.bcapoolleague.com and read what is going on? Mark Griffin is going to do an excellent job!
Tom In Cincy said:Yes, I've been to the NEW website. Mr. Griffin has a huge challenge and I sure hope he gets the right people on his staff to meet these challenges.
To date:
1. He purchased the BCA pool leauge and Referee programs. (effective June 1st, 2004)
2. He has started a website. (with a lot of text and inactive links. I'm sure these will become active asap)
3. He has posted a 'proposal' and has addressed some contract issues with the operators of the major tournaments.
4. Told anyone that is interested, who he is and that he wants to make pool better for leagues.
5. Provided a telephone number and email address for anyone interested in discussing the present and future of the BCALeague.
So far, these are positive actions. These actions and future 'insights' (and plans) Mr. Griffin will be providing will certainly add to the validity of his statements.
I am waiting for responses to emails I have sent him about the 'future' plans and other 'changes' that his NEW organization will provide.
I'm not sure I would use the word 'excellent' in describing what Mr. Griffin has done, but I sure think the word 'exciting' would qualify.
Funny you should say that... I talked to Mr. Griffin today. He and I remembered that we had met in Louisville 2 years ago.hemicudas said:Mark, I believe your phone is ringing here....................

If ever there was a time for Billiards to change the way it's doing business, NOW is the time.
Couldn't agree more with that statement Tom.
