Can you send me the link for that match? thanksI saw him break righty in his match with Gorst on Saturday.
Sorry, I don't have it, Perhaps Update Al has it on his Facebook page. I only watched it for a brief time live, but saw enough to see Mora break right handed. Maybe he's alternating. Can you send me the link for that match? thanks
I read that he is strongly left eye dominant, which means he needs to get his left eye over the cue. I recently got a SightRight, and after doing some tests, I found out I am completely left eye dominant, and I am also right handed. In order to sight down the cue correctly, I need to get my left eye over the cue, and craning my neck to get my left eye over the cue isn't easy. So far, I don't have any pain, but apparently after many years of craning his neck to get his left eye over the cue, Morra developed severe neck issues, so he switched to his left hand, which makes his dominant left eye nearer the cue without having to reach with his neck.good for him. apparently shooting right handed is hurtful for his neck and i imagine the break shot is the worst.
Its odd to me how many people in the pool world don't seem to understand the need for anyone to not want break, It is most rules choose... What I found was players that think a player is trying to cheat in some way... I've even seen this when the player was making one of each set on the break, Makes no since to rack a two ball make for your opponent and try to cheat... GuyAs a person who has had my neck fused twice I can relate to the pain involved with breaking not to mention shooting pool in general it was fused back in 1990 and again in 1995 , since then I've learned a more comfortable stance for breaking and shooting even that's been called a combination of an American and European stance ha ha so in other words I don't get down as low on my cue as many others and square up more on each shot if that makes sense .
I hope that this gives hope to anyone reading this finds hope for themselves for pain relief or management .
SVB does stand upright at his break shot. At least he did this way when filming his instructional series (with Jen Barretta). As a person who has had my neck fused twice I can relate to the pain involved with breaking not to mention shooting pool in general it was fused back in 1990 and again in 1995 , since then I've learned a more comfortable stance for breaking and shooting even that's been called a combination of an American and European stance ha ha so in other words I don't get down as low on my cue as many others and square up more on each shot if that makes sense .
