Just a couple of questions about John: Where is he from?
Where does he call home now?
When is the last time anyone has seen him in a money match?

He definitely had money matches at the DCC in January-NO details from me though. Unless he moved again, he is living in the Florida Panhandle

IMO John may be the best money player from the US. The last time I saw him play he beat Gerry Brock in one pocket and Tony Watson would not play him in nine ball, and that is saying something considering the long list of players Tony has beat up on even playing nineball.

before he moved back east he lived in Victorville and was know as Victorville John when he would play at the Hardtimes in Bellflower CA.

John seems like a real class act. A credit to the pool world IMO.

I watched him run 112 against Alex at DCC. it was cool.

I watched John play when he came through Portland, Oregon two times in two years. In one year he was vastly improved. He practiced straight pool had three innings He ran 60 then 94 then 156 just practicing I also watched him run two racks of one pocket (one inning, balls on the break shot) I have seen plenty of road players that keep thier profiles down he is the best. Cole Dickson, Ed Kelly, Mike Sigel in thier road days didn't play as good.......

Saw him run like 90 balls against Calvin Coker for a straight pool qualifier...he got a little bit out of line on about ball 60, leaving himself hooked by a half ball on the next ball he wanted to pocket....rather than change his runout plan, John grabbed a house cue, and jumped the obstructing ball, absolutely un heard of in straight pool.

I am hoping John comes down Socal again this labor day so he can play at Shooters.
He's a joy to watch. I saw him barbecue Parica on one-pocket the last time he was here.

John is currently house pro at Hidden Pockets in Milton, FL. John is one of the really nice people in the game. He always has time to help a new shooter or even give advice to a seasoned player. When he is playing, I will take his side if I'm on the rail.

John started playing pool in my parents pool hall in Hesperia, Ca. around 1992 or so. We played each other quite a bit when we where both learning to play. He has been making a living off his pool playing since about 1994 or 95.
I watched him play for the first time in almost 10 years at last Decembers Reno Open, he is really hitting the balls well. Makes me wish I hadn't quit playing for so long.
He told me he is now living up in the Florida panhandle and from what I have heard he is always in action these days.
