joining the pro tour?

Hi keith my name is ray i'm going to start playing seriously again after my tour in iraq is up next year. I quit playing for about seven years and i can't stop thinking about getting back to the tables since being here dodging bullets lol.I use to play in local tourny's in ohio that troy franks, cris szuter, and a couple with corey deuel, i was wanting to get some advice on the best place to start and the best way to go about getting on the pro tour.

Returning Player, call the UPA, talk to Frankie Alvarez, and tell him that you want to join the organization and he will explain the particulars. It will cost you $100 yearly, and you will be considered as a pro.

As far as getting back in stroke, there's a lot of regional tournaments to participate in. I happen to like the Joss Tour up in the New England area, which is run by Mike Zuglan, who is a real nice guy and a pool player himself. He has lots of events every year.

If you're returning to Ohio, I'd suggest calling Mike Janis and the Viking Tour. That would be a good start. Plus, they have a lot of local tournaments I'm sure during the week that you could get into as well.

keith thank you for responding so quickly i know you have a buisy schedule,i will call the upa when my battalion returns to the states. I currently live in oklahoma is there any good tours that area that you know of? I will also play some tournaments on the east coast and hopefully i will get the chance to meet you in person and maybee shot for awhile ;)
