Pin size

My experience with many different joint pins and materials has lead me to this conclusion. Piloted, no matter what the joint material gives a lot more vibration or "feedback" than flat faced joints of the same used materials. I've used solid ivory joints, ivory sleeved phenolic joints, implex, steel, wood to wood piloted and flat faced. Anyone worth their salt on a table will tell you, an ivory jointed ivory ferrul'd cue has a hit all to it's own, that's a bit tough to describe. I wouldnt recommended ivory joints piloted or flat faced unless you are a legitimate above average intermediate/amateur pro player. Only joints/pins I havent used are g10 radial piloted like a Zinzola, the old Mike Bender style 3/8x10 he used a concave V shape on the forearm side of the joint and reversed that angle on the shaft side of the joint. I always wanted to try that 1!!
