Joint Question

Curious as to how many of you guys prefer a SS joint as opposed to ivory, stag, or plastic.

My standard is a phenolic joint. However, if you look on my website there are a large number of stainless steel joints ---- most are orders per the players specifications. fyi, it seems the older players (I didn't say old maybe 40+yrs) prefer stainless and the younger prefer phenolic ---- not in all cases but that seems to be the common factor. Once in a while I have requests for Ivory and I am building a joint (with some special work for stability) of elk horn (have done several in the past).

i like SS the best, Ivory looks better but for some reason I just like the feel of a SS joint the best

most of the time when i look at cues, i prefer either stainless steel or ivory.. i am not a fan of phenolic joints... but i have hit some balls with a few that seem to play really good and feel just as good as steel or ivory...

jack maddens, kent davis and ariel carmelli all make a awesome hitting cue phenolic jointed cues...

i also played with a friends jerry franklin southwest and i thought it hit like a log... didnt like it at all..
