Probably get killed for this, but if you do it carefully, it ususlly works if it's just stuck from the grime. I have done several, but follow at your own risk! Take some WD-40, I know, kill me now, spray it on a flat wooden toothpick, and then let a drop go onto the metal pin ONLY! Let it sit a minute then lightly twist the joint back and forth, has worked for me in the past when people never clean their cues properly, not saying that is your deal. DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY ON THE JOINT, IF YOU GET WD-40 IN THE WOOD IT CAN CAUSE ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS, FINISH COMING OFF, GLUES DISSOLVING, ETC., JUST TO NAME A FEW..

Stuck
I just fixed this problem for a guy, Brass was built up from the insert on the pin. Forming a small ring around the pin. Not saying this is your problem, Just a chance it could be..
It is real tough to get apart, I held the butt, while someone else held the shaft very tight. And turned it as if to unscrew it. when it came far enough apart the shaft could wobble in a circular motion. I would wobble it around then try turning it. Holding the butt up and the shaft down, So the buildup would fall back into the insert. This freed it up. cleaned the pin, Tapped the shaft on a solid surface to get the stuff from the insert to fall out.
There are threads inside, Past the uniloc thread. Predator must tap them all with a standard thread to start, Then cut the proper thread afterwards.
