This was brought up on another thread, but I felt it deserved a thread of its own. Does anybody know anything about Jon (not sure I'm spelling his name right)? Years ago, when the women and men played together and I started playing pro, he was always nice to me and I considered him a friend. Any info?

Last time I saw the "Polish Prince" was in Florida at a FL tour event, he was living on the West Coast of Florida working in construction. He didnt play very well and vowed to me he wouldnt show up to another event unless he felt he could win it!!

Last time I ran into him was in 1996.He was working as a Bar tender that time.I heard that he lost his buisiness ( Hunting Lodge ) and also was divorced. This info is 7 or 8 year old and also not first hand.He is a very funny guy .I liked him.cheers

I seem to remember him winning a few million in the Florida lottery some years ago. He was/is, a good player but awful to play with. Loud, annoying, always talking and that was when he was winning. I had him stuck once and he actually grabbed me in a head lock, I thought he was going to hurt me but he was just kidding it turned out. He would ask people to play and you hated to make a game with him even with a good game because of what you had to put up with. I have to add though, he is an impossable guy to dislike.

Hi Macguy,
He put that money in the Hunting Lodge.

I heard Jon passed away earlier this year.

Last time I saw him was in 2006 at a poolhall I worked at in New Port Richey, Fl. He was playing with his jump/break cue. He had sold his Kersenbrock in the 90's after his divorce.

I grew up watching him play and he was everything macguy described him as.

I don't remember him winning the lottery, but his wife was a doctor.

He was a great player back on those Fl Tour days and all the other events the state once held

I think he actually made it on to some set of 'pool cards'- Like most everyone else, i havent seen him since very early this century at some Florida event where he 'also ran' I think he may have been originally from Long Island iirc.
