There's nothing more classic than a 4 point ebony and maple cue. Unless maybe when you add a few mother of pearl notched diamond inlays. And that's exactly what Josh Treadway built here a classy, classic cuestick.
This is a perfect cue for someone looking for a conservative playing cue that makes a strong, subtle statement and plays extremely well. Built with an ebony butt sleeve and four ebony points going into a rock-hard maple nose, the secret to this cue's great hit might be the steel compression j...t. You can just tell this cue's going to be a great player as soon as you screw it together.
I love the way he's building these j....s. His machining and tolerances are so tight that you can just feel the tension building in this cue as you tighten the shafts. The hit is superb. He finishes that with a white elforyn "Hoppe" style ring just above the black phenolic cap. It's a classic look. As a final touch he engraves his traditional "T" logo.
He wraps it with a black textured leather that has a nice feel to it and looks great. And as with all his wraps, it is expertly applied. It takes a hard look to even find a seam.
