I came across a joss color of mine cue for sale. I believe it is a 93 model. I may be wrong in the year made. I was looking at different cues and may have the year mixed up.

Is it worth the asking price of 700.00 ?

I did find another thread among the various forums on the given subject. I'm not an expert on cues by any means. I have absolutely no expertise of valuing them in terms of dollar amount. However, you may find it of interest. Folks on this thread thought it wouldn't necessarily lose value, but would hold it well. $600 is what they were talking about.

Also, comparing it to new ones you can purchase online, it kind of depends. The new ones are selling for around $760, with a handful of extras (like chalk holders). I did see one that was customizable, and came with a number of various options, all for a starting price of $895. I hope this adds a little context to the above thread, and the dollar amount on the one you found.

Again, this isn't really my thing. The value I get from a cue is in the way it plays, and if I'd be using it or not. With that in mind, I'd defer to the opinions of others here.

Just depends on the year of the cue. 750 is about top dollar even on a gold letter one with 2 shafts, that would be a late 1980's version.

It's Color Of Money. Not color if mine, or color if money.

Having said that, no, you don't have to spend that, if it's what you want. There are thousands of those models out there.

It may be the most well know Joss model, but a bit high of a price. A friend of mine had a 90s model, he got a Southwest and sold it, I think for $300. Then sold the SW before the market for those went up to what it is now. He probably lost out on $1,000 between the two cues with wrong timing hehe.

Eddie Cohen made a custom version.....if I recall correctly, Kaiserman has it but my memory
may be flawed. It is the nicest Color of Money pool cue design I've ever seen and I'd love to
add that cue to my collection because it's a dandy....fabulous rings.....Eddie hit a grand slam.

Although I have tried, I just can't get into the feel of those production Joss cues.
Good solid cues for the dough, nothing wrong with them, but the feel is far from a Schon...in my opinion.
The early 90s N series are some of the better ones for sure.
Josswest on the other hand are about my favorite cues.
