JOSS Cue or McDermott

I am currently playing with a McDermott D-3, that was probably made in the mid to late 80's. It is my very first cue that i bought around a year ago. It just had a layered tip installed, but has a warped shaft. Should i keep this or just purchase a new JOSS. I found one online I really like. http://www.budgetcues.com/joss-pool-cue-jos104.htm

Eventually I will be buying a new Predator Z2 shaft for which ever cue i will be playing with. Some opinions would be nice about each cue, pro's and con's. Thanks guys!

if you really want a new cue go with the joss. if you're planning on buying a z shaft anyway you could just keep the mcdermott and get the z shaft (saves you 200 bones)

imo joss is the better cue but if you're going to put a z shaft on whatever you play with it shouldn't make too big a difference. joss cues seem to be a little bigger in the but than mcdermotts

Be true to your cue.
McDermott has a "make it new" program. Refinish, repair, new shaft. Contact them about your cost to restore your D series cue.

I would say also go with the joss! I have a friend i shoot with couple times a week. He has two joss cues and i usually shoot with the one he has been trying to sell me. It is a jos 101 solid black w/Tiger X shaft w/ Joe Porper layered Calfskin tip. It hits very solid and gets great action on the ball. If you are interested he offered to sell it to me for 225.00
