Today I found the time to make some pics from my "JOSS Custom" after it was refinished by the guys from Eurowest. I'm more than pleased now. The finish is real sharp and the wrap one of the best I took my fingers on.
I got this JOSS from the USA. After I opened the parcel my eyes couldn't believe. There was a real deep nick over one of the points. You could see lighter wood under the brown arround. So I sent the cue to Andi & Markus. Andi did a real good job. You can't see the nick and it's real difficult to find it without the knowledge of his existence.
Look at this link for the pics: https://fotoalbum.web.de/alben/customcue/Joss_Custom_brown_refinished/miniatur
I also sent mail to JOSS for some more informations about this cue. After a little waiting I got this answer from Mr. Dan Janes:
The pin is a steel pin that has been black chrome plated then the name Joss was engraved into the tip with a laser.
It is not a 1 of 1. I made about 25 of this cue. The time frame was about late 80s to mid 90s.
When new this cue was about $900.00 US dollars. Now its value depends on the person that wants to buy it. I'm not in the secondary cue market so I don't have any idea what the today's price of your cue is.
Regards,
Dan
