Joss joint question..

I have 2 1985 Joss cues... The 2 shafts were custom but i have tried to put them on my other Joss cue and it doesn't fit...
Anyone know why this would be?

Sometimes the threads are slightly different even with same manufacturer. Have seen this with the occasional Schon cue.

prob just need to run a tap through them. any repair gu can do it. should be 5x16-14
