joss on butt cap?

not real familiar and did some research but cant find any answers on this: when did joss start putting joss on the buttcap?
or have they ever not put it on the butt cap? thanks for any help

They always have except thoughout the 1980's when they put it on the joint and and shaft collars.

Serial numbers started on the joints in 1999 or 2000. Looks like the first letter of yours is C. Which means it was from 2002 or 2003. You can email Joss the serial number and they can look it up for you. If the shaft is straight, $80 is not bad. IMO
