This is an older discontinued model Joss fancy sneaky, in basically brand new condition. I believe at one time is was referred to as the "JS-CCSP" production model that used to come with basic stained walnut handles. No Joss cues are really considered "production", as they are all hand-made by Dan and Stephen Janes, but this one is slightly unusual - I suspect it was made as part of a custom order, as it has the older Joss logo and the woods are far higher quality that what one would see on any production cue. The forearm is a natural straight grain maple, with 4 Bolivian Rosewood floating points, with a Katalox inlay band & buttsleeve - the handle/wrap is a lovely piece of Cocobolo; it has a few tiny white flecks which would be considered minor cosmetic imperfections, which is probably what kept this piece from being used in a higher end cue, but the grain/color is beautiful and generally the type of wood that one might find in a $1500 cue. Thick black buttcap with old style Joss logo.
I grew up on Joss sneaky's and find them to still be some of the most solid playing, best value cues on the market. I acquired this cue brand new from a private party last year, played it a bit on/off with a different 3rd party CF shaft on a home table for a few weeks and then put it away, as a backup cue (my daily player is almost identical Joss cue). Condition is 99%. Shafts are both LNIB - tips have been chalked & tested, but not played more than 2 racks.
I'm offering it with 2 shafts, one the default factory maple (unused) and the primary shaft is Joss "High Performance Shaft " - Dan Janes take on modern LD ( light weight dowel insert, threaded tenon & low mass ferrule). I have several of these custom Joss HP shafts and find them to be amazing. For anyone unfamiliar, Joss shaft taper and feel is almost identical to Predator 314 (but much better IMO!)
Cue rolls perfect separate & together. Total weight 19.1-19.3 depending on shaft - adjustable. It's an awesome player, super well balanced, very solid hit with a lot of feel - like pretty much all Joss sneaky's.
