Hello

My dad told me i could go watch one big event this year close to be and the event i am looking into is still fairly far away but i would like to see some input about( Joss Tour Finale ). places to stay, does it cost to watch, stuff like that i live in eastern canada so this is only a 7 or so hour drive not far at all, I heard from a couple of people that its a great tourney for me to watch and see alot of the best players and gain some expeierence, i am 16 so i am just looking to go see a big event please tell me your opinion. Also is there a website.

Hi Trevor,

In my opinion, any Joss tournament is worth going to see, especially the finale. This site probably has the best information as far as who you can expect to see but when I went two years ago when it was in New Bedford MA the only one I don't think was there was Efren. It seemed like everybody else was though. Alex Pagulayan beat Jose Parica in the final but I also got to see Bustamante, Strickland, Morris, Archer, Mike Davis, Karen Corr and a slew of other top professionals.
Passes to get in will usually run about $50 for a weekend pass to the whole event but even that might be a little higher than actual. Not too sure about hotels up in Maine but I'm sure there are others on the board who would know. You could probably ask Keith McCready as I am sure he will be playing. I think my buddy and I may be heading up there for this one so maybe we will can meet up with you.

Best of luck,
Dave

You might consider the World Summit of Pool in NYC next week. It's a UPA event certain to have a very elite field. It will be quite a long time until the next first-tier pro event in the Northeast.

Otherwise, the Joss tour event at Turning Stone on February 19 would be a great choice.

Hi Muxy,

If you need information on any of the Joss Tour events, try this e-mail link mzjosstour@aol.com. Mike Zuglan will gladly give you any information you require. I think you are correct. Although Portland, Maine is a long way from everywhere it seems, you will see the best field of players in the Northeastern U.S. Good luck with your game. Hopefully, we'll have an AZ posters party there as well.
