I purchased this cue a while back. The previous owner had carved initials in the butt. What would it cost to repair and suggestions on how it could be repaired. The cue came with two original shafts and two that were made sometime in the last 10 to 15 years. All shafts have micarta ferrules. The repair i would like done is the initials removed and the cue refinished the wrap is fine as is. Just a general idea and opinions on if this cue should be refinished or left as is. Thanks

I can probably do it. I'll throw a ballpark, just from seeing the pics. Figure $100 for finish work, $40 for the wrap(needed), $10 for each extra shaft beyond the first. Now, the more difficult part is the engraving. I may be able to salvage the butt sleeve and that will not be any extra. There are several variables I need to look at before I can really nail down my course of action. Worse case senario is to remove the butt cap(carefully) and to replace the sleeve and then reinstall the butt cap. Even if I have to do that, its not going to break the bank. ;)

What I would consider

Add a Silver or Ivory Name plate where the initials are. I would not cut and replace the butt section.

Good Luck.
