Joy!! A Team Comes Together...

Its amazing how things change. A year ago, me and my fellow teammates were simply 3 schmucks who lived in Fast Eddies... then when they started up their league we got placed together on account of their being no one left. Who would've guessed that 2 sessions later we would be the top team in the house?

Well, something really surprised me about those two yesterday... they came to me and said, "You know we've gotten better and we won last session, but we think that we could really dominate anyone we play. So would you be down to come in and have a dedicated practice during the week?"

I was so happy I could poop. We sat and talked about how serious we were about this game for an hour. Funny how we've been playing for a year and we never really knew each other. I don't know how I ended up playing with these bums but they have the same drive that I have, and I really think we could go somewhere with our team. So in closing...

What are some good team tourneys where some money can be won?

I don't think out of town driving will be an issue.

For the Okalahoma area, especially OKC and Tulsa, get on the mailing list for notifications. They often have team tournaments, including state tournaments that you can enter.

They also have an 'Over-the-Hill' (Seniors tournament) every year in OKC that is fun to play in. You have to be 50 or older, and usually is on a Sat/Sunday. I won it one year, and my friend Bob Owen, I believe, won it last year. The year I won it, we got done in 1 day, and saved the motel expense for a night.
