JPNEWT Announces An Upcoming Event At

GREAT SLATES
738 Cambridge Plaza, Cambridge, Maryland

August 20th and 21st, 2005
$1000 Added + 2006 WPBA Qualifier

· JPNEWT membership required and it is $30
· Tournament Entry fee is $50
· WPBA membership required is order to be eligible to win the Qualifier and to have your Regional Tour points recognized by the WPBA for the 2006 Invited Spots, Amateur membership is $25, Semi-Pro membership is $100
· This event is closed to the WPBA Touring Pros
· Format is race to 7, double elimination, Finals is one race to 9
· Great Slates will open at 10:00 am Saturday for practice
· Player’s Meeting is mandatory and will be held at 11:00 am and you must be signed up by then. Play will commence shortly therafter
· Dress Code will be STRICTLY ENFORCED, go to www.newt9ball.com for details

FYI on the area where this tournament is being held....the pool hall is fairly close to the beach, and since it's summertime, it would be a good idea to book a room early before it's sold out. Great Slates is a really nice room, and the owner is an excellent player and supporter of pool. It's way worth it to go to this room!

Thanks for the support!! I hope you make it there and without any stress like the last time. Darn Girl! If anyone ever needed a hug :)!! Well, that's the Jersey highways for you, verrrrry stressful!

Things seem to be a bit more relaxed in Maryland.

You can always stay at the near by Hyatt Resort.
I've been told that their in-season rate is only $238 per night. :confused: :confused: :confused:

That's all?? I was quoted $350 for a water-view room!

Okay, Room Owner John Moody gave the go-ahead with the Holiday Inn Express for $85 per night. And that's a heck of a bargain!

I guess the quote I got was for the closet in the back, with no view. :mad:

The Holiday Inn is very close to the Hyatt and the price difference makes up for the view. :D
 
Well, all the rooms at the Holiday Inn are booked up, and the only rooms left at the Days Inn are for Friday night. Barb, do you know of anyone looking for a roommate for Saturday night?
