"Judge Brigham" Rambow cue

It's a great old cue. Pretty generic though with standard components. I've seen other inscribed cues like it without all the Wille hoppe insignias or logos. These predate those made after the late 1940s. They are less common. Most Rambow cues that had the personalized inscriptions predate this cue. Many "non customs" have been seen with the inscriptions. There were many apprentices and cue makers. You have to remember Brunswick made 95 percent of the cues in the day and Rambow was the driving force in the designs they sold.

Here is more detail.. It's probably been a long time since this cue hit some balls, and while I was knocking a few around with it over the weekend I noticed the joint collar became a bit loose. Well, I ended up unscrewing it completely and gently cleaned it up with a stiff brush. Here is what it looks like underneath.

The location of where the supposed "R" for Rambow is doesn't really Line up with the way he would margin or center the writing on his cues. If there were any chance it was a letter it would be the top of th B in "Made By" just IMO

I am not an expert but in my opinion it is a Brunswick. One reason is that Hermon turned his blanks on down himself, so it would not have the weight number stamped into it if he made it. That is just one thing that caught my eye.
However it is possible Rambow made a shaft for it and put the owners name on it.
