Whats the best break and or jump stick you guys have used.I am in the market and trying to find out what plays good that i have not tried.

The thing ..

is I have a thing about cases and jump cues, so I have
researched jumpers quite a bit.

Hot Break/Jump seems to be the Jerico Stinger.
Quite a few swear by the Jacoby Jump stick although I have not
tried one. (I have a Frog and a Scorpion myself - more accurate
with Frog, better lift with Scorpion)
And the ones that have Bunjees seem pretty happy with them.

My Break Cue & my Jump Cue are both made by John Parker of Auerbach Custom Cues.

John Parker of Auerbach Custom Cues also makes a Custom Break Cue or Jump/Break Cue line for my company.

There is more to a Break Cue than a stiff shaft & a hard tip. There is more to a Jump Cue than a phenolic tip.

I've heard really good things about the stinger. I personally have a palmer jump cue and love it. I wouldn't mind getting a jump/break cue to make my case a little lighter. :)

The Bunjee X-Pro by Lomax as far as I am concerned, is the best I have played with and I have tried about all of them. Shawn Putnam is using one right now and loves it.

"Madison Bob", it doesn't break better than a phenolic (as well though), but it jumps like a raped ape.

IMO The Stinger. I've owned and used a lot of J/B's over the past 3 years, and for me and my style, the Stinger outperforms everything else I've tried.

Stinger as well...after 4 different J/B its the best I have ever played. I almost feel like its unfair, but I got over that :) Also a great teaching tool, I can get most beginners jumping with it in 3-4 shots so it helps keep there interest with something new.

falcon jump break cue

I use a falcon jump/break cue. I kinda have 2 in 1. it's great as a break cue because their shafts are stiff, and when necessary, like at leagues, it'll break down to a "shorty" cue for poles or whatever in the way. I can't jump anymore due to my shoulder, but it jumps great too (from what I remember). it plays nicely with a water buffalo tip also.

For the money (dollars to performance), it's tough to beat the Fury J/B. One thing I personally like about the Fury J/B is that the shaft is tapered like a normal shooting cue. That's my preference. I can actually shoot with the cue (draw and all). Apart from the annoying sound a phenolic tip/ferrule can make, the cue feels like a regular cue.

And, there's a bunch of people selling them on eBay as of this writing.

ANDY GILBERT >>>> Plays like O MY GOD!

I can only recommend a Mark Bear custom jump cue with purpleheart shaft. EVERYONE can jump a ball with their first try with it.It is very accurate and you can generate loads of spin.

I am playing with the fifth Bunjee X-Pro that Steve Lomax built...I am extremely pleased with it. I find that jump control is outstanding and close jumps are significantly easier.

Steve is building X-Pros with premium grade exotic woods and he is taking the extra step of coring the cues with laminated dowels. When used as a break cue, the assembled cue's weight distribution is phenomenal.

I have had no issue with the phenolic tip holding chalk. In this respect, I was surprised to see it outperform leather jump tips.

See my X-Pro page for more info on Steve's cue: http://www.matadorcustomcues.com/steve_lomax_bunjee_xpro_break_jump_cue.html

There is a premium with the X-Pro over some of the other break-jumps on the market, but the difference is really due to the wood grade that he is using and the time-consuming laminated core process. I am thrilled with mine.

I have the prototype of the XP-5 (with a leather wrap). I bought it from Steve at a tournament. The thing is amazing....

OMEN , OMEN, OMEN.... thats all I can say. My Omen jump/ break cue is the best cue Ive ever played with and Ive both owned and played with many of the popular jump/break cues. I was in your position before trying to find a cue and when I heard about Pete Ohman's grey ghost, I had to try one. I couldnt be happier. Everyone who has played with mine said that it was the best they broke with. Now I know its a matter of opinion and preference but I have to definately recommend you try one. Pete is a great guy to deal with too.
