I'm thinking of buying a jump break queue and I have a couple questions.
  1. I like a heavier cue to break with but a hear jump queues should be light. First is that correct about jump cues. Second is there a signicant weight difference one the 3rd section is removed?
  2. Is a thicker shaft 14mm better than a 13mm?
  3. Is the phenolic tip the best? Are there other tips that i should consider?
    [/LIST

Any advisewould be appreciated. I just started playing again after 25 years and these weren't even a consideration back then lol.:)

  1. Man, after a 25 year layoff jumping balls should be the farthest thing from your mind. If your shooting balls in and getting position with no issues then maybe it is time to start jumping.

Now a days jump cues are very light. Technique is the answer. Get a qualified instructor to help you.

I personally like kicking at balls rather than jumping. But this requires a thorough understanding of the table, rails, spin and the diamond system.

Take it slow..........no need to rush........heck its been 25 years.

    Have fun
