I bought a Sniper jump break cue a few weeks ago, and can't get used to the 14" shaft and standard taper. I just can't make a repeatable stroke with the damn thing (jumps like you wouldn't believe though). Luckily I have a 60 day return window, which I will be taking full advantage of (PoolDawg). I will probably use that money for a new LD shaft (predator z, or OB classic pro in 30" uni-loc) since I already know what I want and be back in the market for a jump/break. I see no reason to go over my original budget (I just want an affordable breaker that can jump in a pinch).
The McDermott Stinger has a 13mm tip, but I don't know about the taper
$152
The Lucasi L-SS2 Pool Cue has both a 13 mm tip and a pro taper shaft $192
The Posion has the same shaft the Lucasi
$184-195
The pro taper shaft is a must at this point (I know a standard taper is stiffer, but if you can't make a good stroke you may as well use a 2x4). Any input on those 3, or another suggestion?
