Jump cue advice

I'd recommend a custom Steve Lomax jump cue. He'll build it to your specifications and you won't be disappointed. It's on the top of my current wish list, personally.

I'm looking at buying a jump cue, and it will be my first. I've noticed that some have 2 parts and about 41' long, and some have more parts and/or are longer- the Predator Air for example. I've had a jump/break before, and I think when jumping it was around 41". I didn't have any problems jumping with this, and I was wondering when the additional length was useful, and if I might regret not buying a longer one.

Thanks, Mark

With any jump shot, your accuracy will usually be better if you keep the angle of the cue as low as you can while still clearing the impeding ball.

The longer style jump cue is useful when you are facing a longer (not necessarily higher) jump shot. The same concept applies when you only need to jump over the edge of a ball.

Hope this helps!
