going to get a dedicated jump cue.....was wondering how the diamond wood ones compared to the traditional ones.....interested in something that gets the ball up really easily.....i saw josh roberts do some amazing jumps with the jacoby jumper.....im sure he can probably jump with a broom handle tho. price not really a concern and not interested in a jump break.....also this will be my first jump cue so i have nothing to compare to

I had trouble with my dymondwood jumper...some have great success, not me. I have a Jim Hanshew now and it is the best I have used. I've had a Jacoby, Mezz air, Brick, Lucasi, others...

I can jump the easiest with my lyptus shaft and G10 tip and ferrule combo. I've tried s ton of different jumpers too.

Joe Bouska diamond wood jumper. Nothing even comes close. I bought mine from Mike Massey. He uses and sells these. Since I got mine at least 15 people here in Denver who have tried it have bought one. One guy bought 5.

i have a lomax /hanshew/and alex brick jumpers
the alex brick made from dymond wood is by far the best one
jumping is effortless
i am only surprised when i dont get a hit......:)

I'm getting another DCC Carbon Fiber Jumper. Had one else but original owner really wanted it back so I obliged. Can't wait to get the new one. So light and so much speed.

I use to have a dymondwood Alex Brick j/b and couldn't jump well with it. I've tried lots of jump sticks and the ones I liked best were the Lucasi and the one I have now which is the OB Lift which is truly effortless. I urge you to demo one before you buy anything.

Don't you want a lighter cue for jumping only? Dymondwood is heavy. I thought the key was light weight with high end-mass at the tip.

I have an Alex Brick jump cue. I can get the CB over a ball with only 4 inches of space without using the dart technique.

Agreed. Lighter is better. My OB Lift is 7.25 oz. which is just the right weight for jumping. The dymondwood is too heavy IMO.
