jump cue ?

My friend makes cues and he made two jump cues that we put to the bungie test. The person running the booth (John?) said that it took less work to get over a ball with my friends cue compaired to the bungie. He also said that it felt more like a cue in your hand than a jump cue. He had someone else test the two cues to see what they thought. This person said that they both jumped very similiar after jumping about 15 to 20 balls with the two my friend made and the bungie. I asked which felt better to jump with and he said my friends jump cue. So I feel that bungie was out performed overall. Oh, and the person doing the test was Larry Nevel (sp?).

Larry is awesome at jumping, plus he has one of the best strokes in the business and he is a great guy. I hope to see big things for Larry in the future!

Rufus, Who built them? I know Larry and Mike Stacey and the guy who built my cues, Mike Dorton. Sam

Get a Jump Cue, a tool made for a specified task.

An adjustable wrench is great to have in the kitchen drawer, but a real set of tools is necessary to work on something special.

I have to agree with ceebee. I have a Sledgehammer and as a break cue I think it's unbeatable. The jump cue part is good, but I haven't seen one B/J
combo cue that jumps as good or has more control than a well made dedicated jump cue.

Hey Sam! Mel Cox built the two cues that I was talking about. He was on my team at Vegas. You'll have to try them out sometime. Ralph.
