jump shot world record

That aint fast - check out Jason "The Michigan Kid" Lynch - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8IWDRSmZ_s

J-leezy squashes Rocky Lane's record and I'm confident that Jason will set it at under ten if motivated enough.

Nothing against this Rocky Lane guy, but I'm not impressed.
-yow!

(Incidentally, Jason Lynch holds the official world record (WPA) for the longest spinning ball.)

ok, i just watched that video & it was just sick. Especially if you consider that his bridge hand is in mid-air.

I have to protest. But before I do, let me say that I appreciate his skill, enginuity and overall perspective on promoting the sport.

Now for the objection. He stated that he was going to jump the balls over the stick at a 2" height. I don't have the measurements of the bridge but I assume it was 2". My protest is that he hit the bridge/rail with the 4 and 5 ball. Even though the balls ended up going over the bridge it's not accurate because the round slope of the bridge gave them assistance.

I think someone should challenge this World Record by doing it and clearing the bridge completely.

Just my opionion.

Other than what I stated above, I really Ilke the video and offer my congratulations to Rocky Lane on his new Word Record.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned that he used only the shaft for his record attempt. They show him celebrating with the handle attached.

Hardball, you need to look at it again yourself. He is definately using a Jump Cue with a dark handle. You can see it real clear when he stands straight up after pocketing the last ball.

I've seen 45 seconds. What's the official record?

Compared to how Jimmy Caras did the 15-ball rapid fire, this is slow. Rocky shouldn't be taking any warm-ups if he really wants to set the record.

You are right, Jimmy was fantastic, I miss him a lot.
