Jumping cueball on the break

I would like to get other opinions about the cueball jumping straight up when I am breaking really well. When it hits the one ball, it will jump about 3 ft. straight up, land almost directly in the center of the table and stop. I think it may be one of two things but am open to any comments. This is on both 8 and 9 ft. tables with the same sized cueball and doesn't necessarily happen on the same table.

My theories:
1) I may be jacking up slightly on my stroke when following through, and the cueball actually jumps to hit the one ball full, but above the center point when the balls are flat on the table.
2) The spot, after having the one ball tapped to keep it from rolling for so long actually makes a small divot in the cloth, thereby lowering the ball slighting, and the cueball strikes it above the center point as noted below.

Also, when I break, I don't put any English on the cueball, or at least try not to, and the cueball will normally leave a white streak on the cloth about 3 inches long approximately 2 inches from where I put it to break.

Would you see this as a problem? I know I have a really strong break compared to most of the people I shoot with, however we aren't in a major city where there are pros hanging around.
Thanks for any comments.

you are jacking up,and i would not consider the cue ball jumping up 3-4 feet a good thing,no matter where it lands.

3-4 feet is quite extreme yes....But sometimes I wonder if a CB that pops up in the air a bit and then sticks in the center of the table might be better than no air time at all???

How many times have you stuck the break and your CB stops dead perfect...only to have a ball come flying out of nowhere and send your CB at high speed into the side or corner pocket???

I wonder if a little "air time" could avoid that inital "freeway mayhem" in the middle of the table??

(of course this is just a random thought...and wonder if anyone els has ever thought about this)
