Jumping with a revo shaft

Since Predator haven't came out with a carbon fibre jump cue, what are thoughts on pairing the radial revo shaft with the air II jump cue butt?

It would jump like garbage. Most LD cues are horrible jumpers.

I've tried it.. Revo 12.9 with predator soft tip with the air II butt. It jumps fine, a decent jump tip would probably work better. But I don't see it being that much better than the regular Air II.

Like Nick says, my LD cue jumps like a white guy... but it sounds like putting a jump handle on it (reducing the weight) might help...?

the fix!

Well one possible fix anyway. Take that five hunnert dollar shaft, cut the tip off, drill about five inches deep, put a piece of tungsten rod in that hole. Add a glass or phenolic tip. That thing should outjump a frog then! Of course that also converts the five hunnert dollar shaft into a fifty dollar shaft but you can't have everything!

Or you can take a $90 jump cue and paint it black. Tell your friends it’s CF made by Predtec.

I'm sure you know the knock-offs are already out in force. More like a forty dollar cue than a ninety dollar one and I suspect jump cues would be the same.

Right before the quarantine I bought an old bar table. It came with balls, rack, and a few cues along with a bridge. Some hope of a treasure in among them was quickly dashed but I did get a Titanium cue. Apparently comes from a titanium tree, it is made of wood. The silver paint is well applied from stem to stern but I have hesitated to play with such a fearsome beast. A new tip on it, applied crookedly. With all of the power that thing will generate I figure even a lag shot might blast an end rail off of the table!

Sounds like the perfect cue to practice RAM shots!

The bk rush cf shaft jumps pretty good, but I prefer a heavier shaft for jumping..."dymondwood" is my preference for a jump shaft.

If you prefer a lighter jump cue, the cf shaft paired with any handle will be a good choice.

I have both and it's pretty close both jump great , if I'm jump masse' I like the Dymondwood better seems to stay on the edge better where the Rush I find more miss cue's but that shot comes up rarely,
Now there is a CF cue made for jumping can't remember the name but it's better than both but not by much it's been mentioned here before,,
The thing is my Rush shaft is what 400 + I got 4 dymondlux actually, for that cost ,
However as a breaking shaft the Rush wins by a large margin FYI
