i hear that they are going to be on the same day, im already qualifyed for the acui, can i play in both the acui and junior nationals? and also how do i qualify for the junior nationals

Both Events

Probably not, would be too difficult scheduling and accomodating both events. thats why at the BCA events they don't have scotch doubles, singles and team events on the same days.

nationals

You have to go to a qualifier that is in your age group, 19 and under but first you have to buy a bca junior membership card. If your from illinois iam sure there will be on in chicago or iowa.

BCA Junior Qualifiers

Hi Varsity. I apologize for not posting sooner, but for some reason I cannot post on AZ from work anymore. I don't have a clue why. Anyway, just go to the BCA Webpage and click on the icon for Junior Billiards. Starting around January or February there will be qualifier sites posted and then updated through May. As for the tournament you qualified for, it may be at the same site. I don't know what the letters you mentioned stand for, but if it is the collegiate championships, I believe that they are held at the same time as the Junior tournament, and there should be no problem in your playing in both tourneys. Just check with the BCA Administrator of the Tourney. they are always very polite and helpful. If you don't win a qualifier, you can also qualify by being selected by your BCA League Operator, or by being one of the top two finishers from the previous year. The BCA Junior Championship is (in my opinion) the most prestigious title for a junior player, and they have produced many new pros from their participants. I encourage you to give it a go. Just be ready for the very best that the USA (and sometimes Canada) has to offer. Hope this helps, and I am sorry for not posting a response sooner.
Oh yes, do a web seacrh for Larry Giles and his Forida tour for juniors. He and Pro Charlie Williams are both helping junior players as much as possible. They have not received much credit for this, but they are both very deserving of some praise in this area. Again, good luck to you!

Varsity, the new age requirement for junior nationals requires that you must turn 19 in 2006. Since you turned 19 in 2005 you cannot play in junior nationals. Unfortunately I had to learn the same thing. Sorry for the news.
