There are a few things you can do to bring your average ball run count up a bit w/o having your game get better. When we see the pros play they are almost always playing on close to perfect tables with the best balls and equipment. Dirty balls, marks and chalk on balls, and dirty cloth cause a tremendous amount of missed and/or CB that misses the position you need to continue.
Keeping your shaft clean and slick (esp. using a closed bridge) and keeping your tip maintained and well chalked can eliminate that miss-cue that stops your run or getting out in rotation games.
If you are a fast player try to slow down and take in the whole table before each shot. I was a very fast player for years. As I got older I slowed down and probably gained a ball to my game. When I had to quit playing after 60 years I was very close to playing at my top speed 25 years ago. Till the day I had to quit I could still beat the 9-ball ghost w/bih most days and had many over 70 ball runs. This was on a BB with 4” pockets, fast Diamond like rails, and both designed by the Cobra. Hope this helps some on here. Johnnyt
