Just a little update

I want to thank everybody for their support and kind words during the recent loss of my wife. I have received a few calls and a couple of emails asking how I am doing. So far so good. leaves for a lot of lonely nights. I still go to the cemetery a couple of times a week and bring her flowers.

Please believe me when i say that i am not asking for any help or anything like that. I believe everything will turn out ok in the end. But what a financial nightmare this has been. As a few of you know i am on permanent disability after having 2 M I's plus many other problems. She had it set up so that i would receive her pension and her social security. Therefore the mess. The state says it will take about 13 weeks to transfer to my name and social security is no better. they say 2 months. So right now everything is in a pinch. but i am saving my money to hopefully to make it to the Open this month to see a lot of old faces and maybe some new ones...thanks again and God Bless..............................mike
 
I may be a young'in, and have no near concept of your loss, but I wholeheartedly pray for your fortitude and well being.

(It's crazy how small this game can be when you put life in to perspective.)

Try and get some rest. Guard your heart. And surround yourself with loving people.

I have just one word for you.............RAMEN NOODLES !

I too lost my wife when I was quite young and spent many, many years getting over it, or at least to this point. I was so damned mad nothing made sense to me at all.

Better than 25 years later, it still doesn't make any sense but I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a gorgeous new wife I'm just nuts about and life is good.

The only reasoning I can come up with is that life is just not always fair.

My advice for what it may be worth, is simple: Don't live in constant anger. Nothing comes from it. It will just burn you up and cause you to miss out the better things in life. I spent years doing that and trying to drink myself to death.

Keep your friends closeand be thankful for them. DOn't be harsh with them because they too struggle with your difficulties and want to do and say the right things, but more often than not, don't know what to do or say. Nobody ever wrote the rule book on these things.

Have faith and be strong.

Plus, feel free to tell me to shut the hell up at anytime. Believe me, I would understand.
