Lord, this time of year sucks!!!!

Is it just me or does everyone's priorities go right out the window in Spring? They start fishing, going to the lake, playing softball and golf, mowing their yards, going to the races, staying home to watch basketball, taking their kiddies to soccer practice, etc., etc. .....

I know business will pick back up, you just have to hang on; but it's damned hard to stay motivated.

Whine off.

I totally question one's loyalty to pool when they skip a Sunday afternoon tournament to watch their kids play softball.....what losers......ha ha...jk...I know what you mean......I love it when it rains on a saturday or sunday afternoon now......ha ha
 
where did they go ?

Yes, its that time of the year again where pool seem to be the last thing on the list to do. It`s hard to adjust to the difference and after 14 years I have just decided , what will be will be.
When they are ready I`ll be there for them as always, plus when the ladies start coming back in with the tan, shorts, tops etc, it`s beautiful.

Thank god I have my regular daily die hards or I couldn`t make it. Guys out of work and on disability with bad backs and such keep me going.

Good weather is bad for business

I bought my first room 7 years ago and haven't liked good weather since. One idea I've been toying with is outdoor rental tables. How cool would it be to have a beach party with a pool table or have a pool table at your camp site for a week. Still have to work out the economics.
 
It seems as soon as the time changes in the spring, business really falls off. Pretty soon tho, it will be hot (Florida) and they'll will come in for the AC. (Hopefully!)
 
I agree, also for us inour area most of our business is college students and they all go home here for the summer amd our town looks empty sometimes, It's a tough time of year gotta tighten up the old belt. Thats why I like to run a lot of my bigger tourneys in the summer. Gives ya a well needed boost :D
