Another Lexington All-Stars story here.
My wife and I were sitting behind Jim Rempe when he was practicing on the tournament tables. Were probably 3 rows up in the stands, just high enough to see over the table. Anyway, Rempe is practicing shooting table length straight down the rail into the corner pocket at maximum velocity. Every time he hits the corner pocket the ball jaws and rolls out. Rempe stands up and yells for someone to come and fix the table because the pockets don't take the balls when they're hit hard. Bustamante was walking by at just the right time. He put his case down, took Rempe's cue and slammed 5 straight shots into that same corner. He stood up and looked at Rempe and Rempe said something like "It keeps jawing on me" and he walked away. hehehe!! I thought that was pretty cool.
