Just got back from Vegas, here's what I learned....

F - n0

That's awesome. Sounds like a great time. Was there any point during that night that you would have left the strip to go watch a bonus ball match?

Pool was the last thing on my mind, lol, had my entire life to play pool, not this trip, this one was...party time!!!

One thing I learned about 5 years ago, is that that shuttle bus thing doesn't run 24 hours.

My wife and I got on it LATE and it went downtown somewhere pulled into a parking deal and they shut off the lights. We had to get a cab back to our hotel.....

We were going hotel to hotel, and in my avatar shown here, we met Cliff Joyner in the lobby of the Mirage ? My wife grabbed a picture of us.

KEN

I always thought that was Kevin James in your avatar.

This town is F'ing WILD, LMFAO.
WOW...
ok, I was out there for a corporate trip I won with some colleagues.
I learned that there's a badass night club on the roof of the cosmopolitan...
I learned that "party favors" are offered and big business out there, lol.
I learned that girls offer to " finish off your night" unsolicited, lol.
I learned that Caesars palace is badass.
I learned that folks on the poker tables are not amateurs.
I learned that pocket spending money in Vegas=2k a day...
I learned that last call is like 4am
I learned that the economy doesn't suck everywhere.
I leaned that expensive sunglasses aren't 300.00 like I thought...they're 5k, lol
...........wow, this town is wild.

Our city needs generous people like u. Thanks for your visit and all the money you dropped here.

You're welcome

Trip of a lifetime, I'd do it all over again, besides, my company paid for the room, airfare...
Besides, my money was like food stamps compared to the money running thru that city...damn...I felt like I was poor, everyone I met at Caesars made over 300k / yr...and most made WAY MORE than that. CRAZY.

Worth every penny...Vegas rocks!!!

I remember the Old Las Vegas, before it became dirty, nasty, and just about anything goes.

You could walk the Strip, and there were not s of trash in the gutters, the sidewalk were clean, and there were NO armadas of people trying to hand you a card advertising some bogue girl in room service.

When you went into the Casinos the staff were clean, and pressed like the Marine Drill Team at the Marine Barracks in Washington D.C.

People dress up, you would not see people wandering around in Flip Flops, Cut Offs, and Wife Beater Shirts.

Las Vegas is different now, and the Old Las Vegas is depicted well on the TV Show with Dennis Quad called Vegas.

I liked the Old Las Vegas better. Gone are all the great food deal, like a Steak & Egg Breakfast with all the fixins for under $5.00.

A lot of the place that put Sin City on the map, have been demolished, like the Hacienda, Sahara, etc,. and replaced with what I guess is the next generation of what could be call the New Adult Disneyland in Sin City.

Last time I was there (2004) we were celebrating my last night in town after 3 months. Was out drinking and dancing. Decided to head back to the hotel about 2am. Stumbled back there around 3am. Had to be at the airport by 6am to make my 7am flight. Bad idea. Barely remember dropping off the rental car. Got to the ticket desk at 7:15 (too late for my flight). Was able to get a 2pm flight. Fell asleep at my gate until it was time to board :boring2: Think I was still legally drunk when I landed in Philly. Had to be the longest flight EVER!

Tap, Tap, Tap.
This is what happens when you let scumbag corporations take over everything, they care about nothing and i mean NOTHING, except how they can squeeze every last dollar they can out of everyone.
The class of this city is gone, dead and buried like Elvis and it aint coming back.

I actually agree with this 100%, and I'm no old timer.

Vegas was still cool even in the mid/late 90's. Everything from service to value to ambiance to the crowd (especially this) was much better. Around 2000 it really started to go into the toilet. It's more like a giant Wal-Mart/Jersey Shore for the Faux-Rich to hang out in and try to act like somebody today.

Go up to Laughlin or Reno. While it's mostly all old people, you will be treated better and most likely have more fun.

My last trip was last summer. Stayed in a $6000 a night suite for 6 days. Partied at the Real World Reunion bash with CT, Brad, and others at Vanity for 2 nights and had VIP table service every where we went.

Corey Deuel happened to be out there for his TAR match with Schmidt so he went our with us one night. It's hard to describe what the week was like. I play fairly high blackjack, averaged almost $300/hand for around 25 hours, which gets me pretty much anything I want, but the guy I was with had a $1700+ avg per hand for over 60 hours of play. Our final tab including the suite was almost $50,000 and it was all comped. We also got comped skybox seats at the USA basketball exhibition at the Thomas and Mack Center with the CEO of the Hard Rock.

I'll try to upload some pictures and video when I get a chance.

Huge flatscreens everywhere and a $100K surround sound system throughout the 4000 square feet
