tell you. I took this Schon cue that I have for sale out to my friend's table (5x10) this afternoon. I used a shaft I have that fits the cue well (not the Peddit shaft that goes with it). The shaft I used is slightly thicker at 13mm which more suits my style.

1st game - I won convincingly

2nd game - I made a run of 116 points - would have been 129 had I not tried to pull a Ronnie and shoot the final pink in left-handed.

3rd game - I was in shock and couldn't make a ball - he won.

4th game - He had 27 with only the colors remaining - I regained composure and ran them for a tie. We quit and I went home.

I'll remind you that I am 62 years so such runs (breaks) have become rare so just had to share it. :D

A 116 run with a 13 mil is fantastic, imo.
For me, that would be the equivalent of running two centuries in a row
with a snooker cue.
I have gambled at snooker using a pool cue, but I play much better with
a lighter and thinner cue.

good shooting, at any age

What size are the pockets on a 10x5? And how big are the balls for that matter?

I don't know this table, but most American 5x10 snooker tables have very
small pockets...maybe 3 inch or less.
The balls tend to be 2 1/8 but lighter weight.
The rails tend to be knife-edge.

116 should be applauded on any table. Nice one

Me, I only play on 12'*6' tables and at least 50% of every game i play i'm on a 147.

50% of the time i'll pot the first red and the 147 is on. Unfortunately the following black gets potted about once in a million.

I would guess the pockets on this table at about 3 1/8" maximum and that would be on the sides, the corners are a bit narrower and very unforgiving. 2 1/8" not so hot ball set. He is one ball shy on the reds so we play a triangle rack with the pink in the middle (makes the pink hard to get at).

It's his son's table and that's just how it is. :D

11 blacks, 2 pinks, and the yellow thru blue.

Thanks guys. Did I mention that I was nearly in shock and couldn't pot a ball in the next frame?

Who cares about the next frame? Congratulations.
