Just heard a minute ago that the Million dollar tournament is toast. Since everyone has been wondering I believe this to be true.

Edyie, thanks for the update. What a shame. I was hoping they would get 200 players.
What will happen with the qualifiers? According to the RAM website, the qualifiers are as follow.
These qualifiers already occurred, but no winner listed:
October 18, College Billiards, San Diego, California.
November 1-2, Sterling's, Lewisville, Texas
October 10-12, J & R's Steak & Break, Deer Creek, Illinois
These qualifiers are under the column labeld "DONE" as follows:

Winner: Dick Lane

I saw the fellow in Chicago at your tournament. I spoke to someone on the phone, at his office, a couple of weeks before that. They could not answer questions about what was going on.
These ladies had not a single clue as to what was going on. They knew nothing about formats, or what the race would be, totally clueless. They just wanted to sign me up. That's all, just sign people up, get the money, and no answers.
Hell, I just wanted some answers, before I sent any booth money in. How many players have paid in? Is there booth space avaliable? and so on...They could not even tell me about that.
She said, booth, what's that? Vendors, who are they. Another , BLANK, DUH!Ladie DUH!
I ask to speak to the man behind it all, he was not in, and left my number. To this day he has never made an attempt to contact me.
While at your tournament, one of his staff, came to my booth and ask if I was the person who had called a few weeks earlier, I said yes, and I had never heard from him. She said he will be here in a while and I'll point you out to him. [Thanks for young lady].
I made another attempt, but he looked at me from about 4 or 5 booth's down, and his staff member told him I was there. He just looked my way, turned and walked off
The night of your party, JR, pointed him out to me,I ask if we could have a visit, when he had time? He said sure.
Not a proffesinal [bone in his body]at all when he's asking for your money. Not such a nice guy trying to do what is now bad, history.I had some questions for him, that any, seasoned promotor should and would of answered.
The New guy on the block, didn't have it figured out at all.
He must of taken a lot of bad advice, or just did it own his own. [poor judgement]. To bad, for those who have spent there money, bettin on the come.
I wish it could of come true. But, once again the poor pool-players take the worst of it.

I think and hope after meting the RAM team that their integrity will prevail in this instance. I really feel that they were trying to make a good thing happen for billiards. But, I do not feel it was promoted in the fashion it could have been (Plug~ hint hint, I am for hire, lol). In addition, I think they will come back.
I really liked the RAM team and sincerely wish them well. I would expect that we will get a PR regarding this by the end of the week. The qualifier in AZ has been canceled from what I have heard. That's it for now!
