Went to my senior center to play for a while, normally empty when I’m there. Surprised to see two guys on the middle diamond table. We said hello, and i started doing my thing on the side table. I could hear them talking, but i really didnt watch them play, as i was doing my own thing. As i was getting ready to leave after a hour, we started chatting. The older guy asked me if i knew who his buddy was, and i said no. He said he got 2nd in the US OPEN AGAINST BUDDY HALL. I go what!!!!!!!!!
Turns out tang hoa did get 2nd in the open that year, knew all of the older pros, Hung out at HARD TIMES IN BELLFLOWER CA, and is all over you tube.
Watched a couple of 8 ball games, and you could instantly tell he was a pro. Very nice guy, switched to playing poker, and he said its tougher than pro pool.
