Quick update...

I had a great time in Vegas this year. Since I did not play leagues I played in the "players" tourny which only had 130 or so players. Overall I played pretty well and finished up tied for 5th-6th, which paid $1,200. Not bad for a few days in LV.... heck... I almost broke even from the damn craps table! :)

I had VIP seats to the TAR Frost/Appleton match... That was a good time. I was surprised that more people didn't watch those matches in person. I would highly recommend buying the dvd of that match... Scott makes a kick bank shot on the 8ball on the first night that you have to see to believe!

I also loved all the booths.... I got several "Stroke It" wear shirts ( www.strokeitwear.com ) for me and a couple sexy ones for my wife. ;) Looks like Stroke It wear was doing pretty well as most of the raffle girls were wearing one by the time I left.

I also got the breakrak ( www.breakrak.com ) and am very excited about using that once my table gets setup (GLEN WHERE ARE YOU!!)

The last thing I got was the two volume set of "Banks that don't go but do" from Freddy the Beard. I am slapping that in the DVD player as we speak! Bank on, Brother!

So, next year I will be a breaking, banking machine.... or else.. not... but I will have fun anyway!

To everyone who is still out there.... good luck and have a safe trip back home!

Damn Carlos, you play a little too! Cool! That always makes the trip more fun.

Glen said he won't be long. As soon as the new haulin wagon is ready he's heading your way.

Thanks...

I was thinking about it on the way home... and I think a big reason why I did so well in the tournament is because I only scratched 2 or 3 times on the break the whole tournament.

Ray - Does Glen already have the truck in LV?

Next year I will try to stay there the whole week and also get on a team competition:
Tony Crosby, me and Rodney Morris. I love his new drink ExtremeFocus. Kept me alive while playing late matches.

Hey Bestkites... I met you in the AZ room.... I was the guy wearing the tan Nike hat...

See you next year!

Alright buddy! I remember now! We need to setup a team called Az'ers to play on the team competition.

Great playing Carlos. I'm sure you will be even tougher after Glenn sets up your Diamond.

Chris,

I can't wait for the RealKingCobra treatment on my table too! I know it will be worth the wait.

Give me a call when you get a chance concerning your lighting issue.

I figured out the lighting issue. I thought it was the ballast, so I replaced it and that one side still didn't work. I was going to replace the whole fixture until I got to Home Depot and found raplcement connectors for the tubes that were cheap and easy to change out. That turned out to be the fix and she works fine now. Lots of light, but no table to play on.:( C'mon Glenn, we need you!

Hey let me know how that break rack works out. I was thinking about getting one too.

Hopefully the RKC gets to your place soon. He's coming here after he gets done with yours!

Congratulations, Carlos! That is a very good finish for 130 or so players. Nice playing :)
