Phil started off 3-0 in the tournament as well too. I gambled him quite abit when I first arrived in Australia and cannot help but feel bad for him not making it to the big game after such a good start but his last 4 matches were against Davis, Luat, Yang, and Foldes, all of whom he was a underdog against so he needed to upset at least one to make the big game. Heck he got drilled 5-1 by both Luat and Yang though and I think Foldes drilled him as well, if he lost by games won then that 2-10 stretch in his last 2 matches needed to not happen. Tough beat but he will probably be back there next year, Australia is a soft country and Phil is one of the best here and is a favorite to get his spot in the Worlds each year.
