I would appreciate any information regarding the maker of the case below. I realize it is impossible to keep up with things coming out of China but at least I will be able to put a name with the design thief that is blatantly coping my case. All information will be kept confidential except the name of the thief. I have turned on my PM's for your convenience.

Why would John do this? Is that what I'm reading that he will become an importer of these "Bentley" Justis Knock-Offs.

If so it could be viewed as a compliment because he's not knocking off his old company as it's an inferior product.

Not quite but you can't be bothered with the truth can you? Had you emailed me then I could tell you exactly who is doing what as I have done with other friends in the industry when they needed to know something.

But you would rather attempt to wreck my reputation instead with a false accusation.

I am not now nor have I ever copied a Justis tooled case. Nor have I imported the copies nor will I.

IF I ever decide to make cases that are similar to Jack's in the same way that he made cases that were similar to Flowers then I guarantee all of you that I will be the first to tell you about it when I post them here.

Jack, you messed up and you owe me an apology. I doubt one is going to come but you owe me anyway.

I have read through all these threads. Jack Justis has no reason to publicly post a PM or email such as he did unless he felt it proved the point he was trying to make. My question is this,,,,,,,,,would you have continued on and had your company import these lower price, lower quality Justis copys if the issues in these threads had not been made public?

My guess is "YES" you would have. I'm sure others feel so too if they have read your posts. You talk and talk about this and that, innuendo and what the things are that "you would do", but your own words in the PM and in your other earlier posts show what you intentions were, plain and simple. And I say that intentions as well as actions define a man's character.

You sir, missed a golden opportunity in life,,,,,,,,your true calling should have been in the legal profession, that of a slimy defense attorny.

there is no doubt that Jack posted the message because he THOUGHT he was proving something. I can almost see the glee when he received the PM.

However there is huge difference between THINKING you are right and being right. As Grady is fond of saying, "I never got beat by a player who thought they could play, only the ones who knew they could."

The courteous and classy thing to do would have been to respect our mutual 15 years as colleagues in the billiard industry and the FACT that he has always been congenial to me as I to him, and with that to have simply asked me about it. I would have told him the same thing I have said here and then I would have helped him with the true answers to his questions.

Then that would have been that.

You sir no nothing of my history, nothing of who I know and what I know. Jack however knows with 100% certainty that he has made a mistake here . He knows that I have always been on his side as a fellow casemaker and that I have always looked up to him. So he knows in his heart that he has thrown that away.

I can't help how you read the threads but let me tell you something. Try eliminating the fluffy emotional nonsense and deal with the facts. The fact is Jack posted a private message that contained a statement of intent that was never acted upon. Using that statement he made the false accusation that it has been acted on. I wouldn't even need an attorney, slimy or otherwise to easily refute this accusation.

Now, Jack has tarnished my reputation. There is at least one poster who swears never to purchase a case from me due to these threads. So Jack has already cost me potential business. I probably have a legitimate case for libel and slander (I can't ever keep them straight) as well as invasion of privacy possibly (probably not). But I won't ever pursue such course because it's not worth it. I will continue to do what I do best which is to make cue cases and sell more of them at one show than Jack can make in several years. My products do all the talking when at shows.

So if you don't think he owes me an apology then I can live with that. He does, he knows it, the only question remaining is whether he will show the class that he had and apologize.

I assume because you can't spell attorney, that you may be one of the people that we are often forced to defend because it is the right thing to do and our job. I'd suggest that your judgment is the one that is impaired.
