K-66 or 55?

DAGNABBITT!!! I hate to use that kind of language guys...but I'm a little ticked! I took off the old cushions on a table that I bought, and after measuring them, decided they were definitely K-66 cushions. So I ordered K-66 cushions from Rockwell Products. They came in today and I put one up to a rail and didn't like what I saw.

The height of the nose of the cushion is 1 1/2 instead of 1 7/16th and also...the bottom of the cushion does not extend all the way to the bottom of the beveled part of the rail. It is right at 1/8th of an inch smaller than a perfect fit. Isn't a K-55 about an 1/8th" wider than a K-66? If it is then I guess I ordered the wrong cushion. Another question though...is a K-55 going to have a lower nose height than a K-66?

Measure the bevel of the subrail.
1 1/4" takes a K55
1 1/8" takes a K66
From your post it appears you need K55 which will lower the nose height
and better fit your rail bevel.

I was told that Gandy (Furniture Model) takes a K-66 and that is one of the reasons why I ordered a K-66. I have a question though: whether I use 55's or 66's...isn't what I am after is the correct nose height of 1 7/16ths? Even if the table is designed to take K-66, if 55's give me the correct nose height, shouldn't I go with 55's?

Last question: Will 55's definitely drop the nose height compared to 66's? Dartman said it will and I am not debating what he said but I just want to be sure before I re-order the cushions.

K55 will drop the nose height.
So this is a Gandy table. There's the problem and it was just recently discussed in this thread - specifically post#22 by Bob -
