Is There Alot Of Good Players Around There. From Wisconsin And There Is No Tournments Around Here Anymore. Nobody Shows Up So I Have To Go Out Of State. Do You Think There Will Be A Good Turnout In The Nine Ball Event. And Is It Played On The Big Table.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest. I feel we will have a great turnout for all the events, especially the 9ball. We will be pre registering, so if a few weeks before the event you would like to call us, feel free to do so. We should be able to give you a general idea of how many people are epected/registered. I'm pretty sure you can register over the phone using visa/mastercard.

Play will be held on beautiful Diamond and Brunswick 9' tables.

There are hotels close by as well.
Hope to see you there!

The room will be open until the last player walks out! Since the tournament is starting Friday, we want to give players from out of town enough time to arrive so that they do not have to take off work early or get the day off. We anticipate these tourneys lasting most of the weekened.

Here are the races:
Banks- 3 Winners, 3 Losers
1P- 3 W, 2 L
9 Ball- 7 W, 5 L

We will also be running Minis.

Check out the site www.blackbirdbilliards.com to see how nice the room is.

Thanks and
See you soon.

For the one pocket...Is it just the players meeting and calcutta on Friday night and matches start on Saturday ? - or will there be matches starting Friday night.

The play will begin Friday immediately after the calcutta. If you need help with local hotels, let me know- and if it's just you, maybe we can find a place for you to crash.

Thanks for the interest, and be sure to pre register by calling Blackbird Billiards- you can pay via credit card.

See you there!

I played in the US Open One Pocket Tourney back in 2000 in Kalamazoo (I was the only English player in it:D ). I remember Blackbird Billiards was called Billiards Playground or is Blackbird a different place. I'm sure Billiards Playground used to be on Stadium Drive and there was a Funeral Home about 100 yards away. I used to joke with Matt about not having any complaints from the neighbours after a late night. What happend to Matt? He was a very decent guy.

Hey Jason,

Awesome! Matt is doing great; Playground closed a few years back- Blackbird Billiards is under different ownership. All the locals are still around and playing strong. Blackbird is just about 1 mile down the road.
So if you ever make it to Kalamazoo stop on in!

you bet

Well, since you offered, would it be too much to ask if maybe you have a young hottie cocktail waitress working in your room whose house you could arrange for me to crash at ?...............^_^ - just kidding, seriously though, that's real nice of you to offer - that shows the brotherhood of pool players that I'm glad to be a part of...............Ghost

Well, my GF is a miller lite girl.... :D So maybe we could hook that up. Hahahahahahha. JK. Look foward to seeing you all there. Don't forget to pre register.

Oh, and not that this is pool related... but the opening weekend of my poker room is October 14th, just about 5 miles away from the pool room. YAY!
