Kamui Athlete Tip

I recently went from a Kamui Black Soft to a Kamui Athlete Soft and I'm not sure if I like it. I've noticed my hit angles are a little off and it's definitely a different feel. Anyone else tried this tip? If so, what was your experience?

It's not the tip that is off. The problem lies with either aim or stroke or a combination of both. Or it could be the brand of chalk is wrong. Yeah, gotta be the chalk

Well, two whole days into another year and the tip questions are starting early. ;) Seriously ? I have no clue what 'my hit angles are off' even means. EVERY tip as a different hit/feel. How long have you had it? Give a new tip at least 2weeks to break in then assess it. Still don't like it cut it off. Isn't rocket science. Oh, and NO i've never even seen one of these yet. No one in my room has tried one. I'm a die-hard Ultraskin guy so i doubt i'll be trying one. IMO K's are overpriced for what you get.

You don't know about aiming angles? Interesting since you're in a billiards forum. 🤔 When you change tips or hardness of tips there's an adjustment. Unless you have useful info or experience with the tip then just shut up dude. Lol

Not what you said pal. You said 'hit angles' which really means nothing. Changing tips(done it a gillion times) doesn't change aiming angles. Before you go barking at people ask a question that makes sense, dude. BTW, congrats you're the first Ignore pile addition of '25. WTF.

If you have no experience with different tips or the kamui athlete tip then just say that. It's quicker.

My advice would be to go back to the black. Sounds like a visual thing were you're eye is being changed by the different appearance of the tip.

We're not really athletes anyway..

I'm thinking you might be right. Didn't think there would be much difference but there is a little in the feel of it and definitely the elasticity. Appreciate the advice.

I have installed quite a few since it's release and the feedback from customers is very good. If you are so sensitive that a new tip throws your game off, you need to start doing drills that can make adjusting to new equipment much easier.

Not sure i could call a tip overpriced at $30. Layered tips last so long that it's negligible over the long term. I feel the same about the expensive chalk: Just being cleaner is enough of a reason for me to use it (although i'm not the kind of person to lose that kind of stuff...).

Ultraskins at 3bux each play just as good so i'm stickin to my story. These tipmakers have people addicted to the 'new tip of the month drug' and thus they get away with over-charging.
