Kamui Black Soft vs. Moori Medium

I have a Kamui Black soft tip on a 314 shaft 12.75 and a Moori medium on a z2 shaft 11.75. Both shafts hit well on my Bill McDaniel but I was wondering what the pros and cons are shooting with a smaller diameter shaft as opposed to a larger more firm tip. Any suggestions would be helpful. I throw balls out of the pocket with the z2. Will it just take some getting used to or should I stop playing with the smaller shaft?

I've been playing with a Schon CX-06 with a McDermott I-3 shaft. The shaft has an 11.75mm tip diameter and a Moori Soft tip. It may be mental but I feel I hit the cue ball exactly where I want to with geometric precision. When I play with a larger tip, i.e. a 13mm, it just doesn't feel right. Some people say it easier making a ball with a larger tip diameter but I think tip diameter, like tips, is very subjective. Go with what feels right to you.
