Kamui Carbon Fiber (athlete) Tips

I know an installer who has some of these for like 45$ a tip installed and I am wondering if anyone has tried them?

He says someone he knows claims they brought their game up 2 balls but I am skeptical.

He only has the mediums right now.

EDIT: I suppose these are called athlete tips and are designed for a carbon fiber cue.

It's a good tip for sure, but when you read claims about equipment immediately improving your game, I call bullshit. No matter what equipment you use, given its reasonably straight and the tip has a nice nickel or dime shape to it, it's all up to the player.

I think he's just trying to make a sale, that's a HUGE load of Bullshit, saying you would go up two balls with a tip change. It would be the tip of the APA, they all need a two ball jump :ROFLMAO:

And that tip only comes in a medium.

I've never used the tip but from what i know it's a combo tip, It has hard leather on the bottom and soft on the top. It's the newest thing so they are going to hype it.

its just a buzzy name to sell an ever more expensive tips like popcorn
, like titan, how, zan , sniper etc, it will not up your game lol

If a tip could actually improve your game, especially 2 balls, everybody would need them or they would never win a tournament.

Currently using a sniper on a CF shaft. It hits good.
Tried the Tiger Onyx LTD, hits very much like a sniper which I used for years, took a lot to shape into a dime radius, can't say how long it will last but I like the hit, maybe a tad harder than the Sniper but very similar hit and chalk retention

Nice post your absolutely right, Why does everything have to be about the latest equipment!!

Love Sniper on CF shafts.
However I recently (as in about 6 months ago) started using the G2 soft on the 12.4 Revo and the medium on the 11.8.
Fantastic stuff.
For me....so far...the best tip. The feel, grip, action - all of it - is so great.
Especially like the soft. But they're bot - for me - head and shoulders above the rest.

I pay $2.00 and $12 install for a LePro or Triangle tip at a Billiards store.
Not a layered tip but they are a waste of money.
They are consistent and worth it. I’ve put on about 9 this year on my cues and they are consistent from tip to tip. I’ve used lepros and I’ve had to take off 3-4 tips to find a good one. I haven’t had the need to do that with a layered tip
