Kamui tip question

I recently bought a used shaft for my Schon from a guy that said it had a Kamui clear super soft tip on it. I have no reason to not believe him and I guess the "clear" terminology is the clear base that is on the bottom of the tip. My question is, Kamui makes a clear black and a clear "original" tip in super soft. Is there any way to tell if the tip is a black or original?
I absolutely love how this thing hits and want to get another similar tip put on another shaft of mine so I want to be as sure as possible I get the right tip put on.
I used to install my own Triumph's and Lepro's but will probably have these professionally installed.

The original is brown and the black is black.....

Just because a tip has the clear pad, does not always mean the tip is Kamui.


A lot of cue reapairmen will keep the clear on when replacing a new tip.

Get in touch with Shooter08 (Tom) who is a Kamui Dealer (Wisconsin Billiard Supplies).
He'll answer any question you have about Kamui or anything else as well. He's a great guy.

Tom sold me all my Kamui Tips starting with Kamui Black med. tips yrs. ago and ultimately
also switching to Kamui Clear Black in Soft hardness. I even have a couple of shafts with
Kamui Clear Black in Super Soft. All my cues use Kamui Clear, except for one. It's a great tip.
