I dont know the hardness and everyone I am sure has own opinion but to me a Kamui Soft feels like Moori Medium. In other words the Kamui soft is harder then most soft tips. I have always played with Moori Medium but now shoot with Kamui Soft and Black Soft

That seems high. I believe Elkmasters, a soft cue, is only around 60. 78 is a hard tip.

It says Tip: Kamui Original S on the Mezz USA website that is also what came on my HP2 unless whoever he bought it from changed it. For my HP2 I called them and confirmed its Tip: Kamui Original S

Remember, one manufacturer’s soft tip is just THEIR soft tip. Tip manufacturers list soft, medium or hard relative to their line. I’ve installed Kamui soft tips that were harder than Chinese arithmetic.

Kamui Original Soft are around 62 on the Shore D scale. Black soft is about 63. Those readings are about 3 years old. Kamui may have modified the hardness since then.

kamui tip

Kamui makes a super soft tip......which is like some companies soft tip. Their soft is more like a medium but they call it soft. Confusing, yes.

I just looked it up. the original Kamui brown super soft is rated at 69.2, the soft is 78.1, the medium is 82.2 , and the hard is 92.2
