Kamui tips hardness?

Is there anyway to confirm what hardness Kamui tip was installed???
I had a new Kamui soft tip installed by a dealer recently and it seems harder then then soft Kamui tip on my other shaft……
Thank you

You can have some variances in shafts that can lead to a diffirent feel.
This. I like Kamuis but for the same kind of feel I prefer, My main player gets a SS and another cue I use sometimes has an S.

Ferrules play a big role in feel too. I absolutely love the buttery feel of my buddy's Meucci and he has a medium tip on it but the composite ferrule they use on that series has a softer hit to it. I like it so much I might get my ferrule switched, even if it means I have to play a medium hard tip instead of the softies I'm accustomed to.

Feel is very spectulative. I could go on and on about variances that could lead to a diffirent feel.

The shaft/ferrule has a huge effect on a how any tip plays/feels on a given cue. no way to accurately tell once its installed. as for Kamui's i always thought they tended to play a lil harder than marked. been a while but that's my recollection.

Ye, different companies mean very different things by 'soft' or 'medium'. There are some tip hardness charts comparing various tips you can google and a Kamui soft shows up as a 72 vs a Moori soft at 64. Even a Kamui super soft is 68.

Classic Elk Masters tested as 60, which fits my experience with them back in the day, but tried em again more recently and they were really hard. They're not exactly know for their consistency tho.

Only if you bring in your own, and watch. I have mine done by in house tech I know.

Of course, I believe most or all techs are not going to do anything more than what I ask. But I still bring my own.
